Austin firm’s AI receptionist answers calls, books appointments, and captures leads around the clock, built for operators who can’t afford to miss the phone.
There’s a moment every small business owner knows. The phone rings while you’re on a job site, with a customer, or buried in the work that actually pays. You can’t answer. And that missed call doesn’t just disappear, it becomes a customer who dialed your competitor next.

For contractors, service providers, and independent operators, the problem was never ambition. It was that a full-time front desk, the kind larger companies take for granted, has always been too expensive to justify. A receptionist runs around $35,000 a year. Most small operators simply absorb the missed calls as a cost of doing business.
Isaiah Turner spent years in finance and business consulting watching that exact gap play out.
“I kept seeing the same thing across every industry,” Turner says. “Owners already know what needs to happen. They just don’t have enough hours or hands to cover everything, and the phone is usually the first thing to slip.”
That observation led him to found Turner Digital Consulting, an Austin-based firm building AI tools designed around the realities of running a small business. Its first product on the Apple App Store is Receptionist AI.
Built Around One Job, Done Well
Receptionist AI answers incoming calls 24/7. Owners set it up by describing their business, choosing a voice, and customizing how it handles common questions, and from there it answers, books appointments, and captures caller details, day or night. Whether a business gets a handful of calls or a steady stream, it delivers a consistent, professional response every time.
The emphasis, Turner says, was on practicality over complexity.
“A contractor or a founder doesn’t need a dozen dashboards. They need something that picks up the phone, sounds professional, and makes sure no opportunity goes to voicemail. Setup takes minutes, not weeks.”

The pitch is as much about math as technology: an always-available front desk for a fraction of the cost of hiring one. By cutting missed opportunities and answering customers around the clock, Receptionist AI gives smaller companies the kind of reliable communication that traditionally required dedicated office staff.
From Finance to Building the Tools Himself
Turner’s background spans mergers-and-acquisitions advisory, risk management, and operational consulting for small and mid-sized businesses, work that gave him a close-up view of where small operators lose time and money. Rather than continue advising from the outside, he began building software to solve the problems directly.
“I approached it from the operator’s side of the desk,” Turner says. “The goal isn’t impressive technology. It’s helping someone stay organized, communicate consistently, and stop leaving money on the table during a normal workday.”
Receptionist AI is the first of several operational tools the company is developing, with additional products in active development.
