Francesca Reicherter, the founder of Inspiring My Generation Corporation, exemplifies resilience and the transformative power of hope. A mental health advocate, author, and speaker, Francesca’s journey is deeply rooted in her personal experiences. After surviving three suicide attempts and losing her uncle to suicide in 2019, she transformed her grief into a mission to ensure no one feels alone in their struggles.
Her nonprofit, Inspiring My Generation, began as a blog—a platform to express her thoughts and share her mental health journey. Over time, it evolved into a national movement dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness. At the heart of this organization is the Encouragement Card Program, a unique initiative that provides handwritten messages of hope to patients in behavioral health facilities. With over 22,900 cards delivered, this program is a testament to Francesca’s commitment to providing tangible support to individuals during their most vulnerable moments.
“I know firsthand how isolating it can feel when you’re struggling with your mental health,” Francesca shared. “These cards are a simple way to remind someone they are not alone and that there is always hope.”
Inspiring My Generation’s success is fueled by its network of young volunteers who create the cards while earning service hours, fostering a sense of connection and empathy. Francesca’s dedication to education and awareness extends beyond this initiative. She is the author of six mental health workbooks, including Your Thoughts Matter, which simplifies complex mental health concepts and equips individuals with tools to manage their emotions, set boundaries, and practice self-care.
As the host of the podcast Normalize The Conversation, Francesca uses her platform to amplify diverse voices in mental health advocacy. With over 200 episodes released, the podcast creates a safe space for individuals to share their stories, fostering understanding and breaking down stigma.
