YDK with Dr Joe Completes Historic Finals at Awani Luxury Hotel
San Carlos City witnessed a landmark moment as YDK with Dr Joe successfully concluded its Final Auditions at the prestigious Awani Luxury Hotel, bringing together Faith, Entertainment, Education, Travel, and Media in a way never before seen in the region.
During the event, a major announcement was made when New Covenant University President Dr. Angel Crites officially offered Dr. Joe Doherty the position of Dean of Academic Studies for New Covenant University Philippines. Dr. Joe accepted the role, further strengthening the faith-based mission and educational vision of YDK.
YDK Auditions Final Results
After an outstanding competition featuring some of the region’s most talented young performers, the winners were announced as follows:
1st Place Champion: Yura Dionne Bagunas
2nd Place: Dinah Panaligan
3rd Place: Kyle Krystal Geronda
People’s Choice Award: Marian Del Torres and Reo Jane Corpin
The People’s Choice Award was presented to Marian Del Torres and Reo Jane Corpin in recognition of their popularity, audience support, stage presence, and outstanding performances throughout the YDK Auditions.
Dr. Joe congratulated all winners and emphasized that the auditions were not simply about selecting champions, but about identifying future leaders and artists who would help shape the next generation of YDK talent.
Team YDK and Artist Development
Following the awards presentation, finalists were divided into two elite development groups.
Team YDK
This group will participate in future YDK commercials, music videos, promotional campaigns, social media content, public appearances, and special productions.
Artist Development Program
Under the direction of world-renowned producer and vocal coach Mr. Gerry Williams, the following artists were selected for advanced development:

In a groundbreaking announcement, every artist selected for the Artist Development Program was immediately awarded a Full Scholarship to New Covenant University Philippines.
According to event organizers, this marks one of the most unique artist development initiatives ever introduced, combining professional entertainment development with university education opportunities.
Dr. Joe also awarded cash prizes and certificates to participants in recognition of their hard work, dedication, and talent.
Strategic Alliance Creates New Opportunities
Dr. Joe announced that YDK has entered into a major strategic alliance with YDK Elite Escapes Powered by Travel Saver Pro Vacation Club, creating new opportunities for young artists.
Dr. Joe explained that the alliance will help fund artist development programs while providing educational opportunities and future travel experiences for members of Team YDK and the Artist Development Program.

Leadership Promotions Announced
Several key leadership appointments were also announced.
Jeremy Teo Promoted
Jeremy Teo was promoted to Director of Events, where he will work alongside Director of Entertainment Borling Black to oversee future productions, performances, and special events.
Both leaders will work closely under the guidance of Mr. Gerry Williams as YDK expands its entertainment division.
Yura Dionne Bagunas Promoted
Following her championship victory, Yura Dionne Bagunas was promoted to General Manager of YDK Music.
Dr. Joe stated:
“Yura was and is the best of the group. We want the best leading our teams. She has demonstrated leadership, talent, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.”
The First YDK Super Group Is Born
In another historic announcement, Mr. Gerry Williams revealed the formation of the first Super Group ever developed from San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
According to Williams:
“We have opened the door to major record labels for these talented artists. It’s now up to them to walk through it.”
He further confirmed that two Super Groups are currently in development, with the first group now officially introduced.
When asked about future announcements, Dr. Joe smiled and simply responded:
“Oh, there’s more. Stay tuned.”
New Behind-the-Scenes Series Announced
YDK also announced the launch of a brand-new behind-the-scenes mini-series titled “YDK Backstage.”
The production will be led by Multi Media Director Kenth Alfred, who will provide viewers with exclusive access to the inner workings of YDK’s growing entertainment division.
YDK Backstage will feature never-before-seen footage of artist development sessions, music video productions, commercial shoots, rehearsals, special events, leadership meetings, and the day-to-day journey of Team YDK as they prepare for regional, national, and international opportunities.
Dr. Joe stated:
“Many people only see the final performance. YDK Backstage will show the real journey, the challenges, the victories, and the development of these talented young artists.”
Multi Media Director Kenth Alfred added that the series will provide an authentic look into the YDK family while documenting the historic growth of entertainment, education, faith, and travel initiatives coming together under one vision.
Production of the first episodes will begin immediately and will be released across YDK digital platforms.
