The team also qualified twice for CIF State competition and climbed from Division 5 to Division 2. “The ability to lead teams that people count out is what defines us,” Kopooshian says. “It is about turning doubters into believers.”

Nearly a decade after winning the U16 title in 2017, Armenia enters the tournament with renewed ambition. The team will compete in Group B alongside Andorra, Malta, Gibraltar, and Monaco, opening against Andorra on July 4. For Kopooshian, the tournament represents more than competition. “It feels like more than just a tournament,” he says. “It is identity, community, and youth development coming together.”
