A recent survey conducted by Bank of America has raised concerns about the potential impact of technology on employment, suggesting that advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) could eliminate up to 2 billion jobs by 2030. “AI tutors can help you teach you things, teach you anything you like, program them, help you write, help you analyze, help you think, help you reason,” Huang explained.

For Huang, services like the premium version of ChatGPT, which costs $20 monthly, have proven to be invaluable resources. He has mentioned using this AI platform to gain deeper understanding in complex subjects.

Exploration and Research with AI Tools

Huang’s commitment to lifelong learning extends to other AI platforms as well. He revealed his daily use of Perplexity’s AI search engine for subjects such as biology. While the professional plans come at $20 monthly, there is also a free version accessible to users.

Although tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity are designed for research, other platforms like Khan Academy’s Khanmigo are explicitly marketed as AI tutors, available for $4 per month. Users have reported feeling empowered in their educational pursuits, noting a significant reduction in barriers to knowledge across various fields.

“Today I feel more empowered and more confident in learning something today,” one user remarked to Abram regarding the impact of AI.

“You can’t randomly ask (AI) questions,” Huang advised. “To ask AI to be your assistant, you need expertise and artistry in how to encourage it.”

A 2023 survey by consulting firm McKinsey found that AI could automate tasks accounting for over half of the current workday, raising concerns about potential unemployment.
